Position Title: Speech and Language Assistant
Definition of Position: Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in providing Speech and Language services to children in the educational setting
Immediate Supervisor: Special Education Director
Required Qualifications: * SLP-A degree or Bachelors in Speech and Language
* Experience in conducting speech and language therapeutic programs for children
* Ability to schedule meetings and work effectively with parents and teachers
* Experience working with children with disabilities
* Ability to keep data charts and therapy logs updated
* Ability to work on a team with special education personnel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications: * Experience with Medicaid billing
* Knowledge of Spanish language
* Work experience for a school district within special education
Essential Job-Related Activities:
* Assisting in all record-keeping and clerical duties as needed by the SLP
* Other duties as assigned.
